Garden Fountain Design Garden Design Advice Please?

Garden design advice please? - garden fountain design

I was invited to a small garden design, strongly influenced by the Zen gardens. The site is triangular, and bamboo is one of the corners. However, owners do not sand or gravel because they have a dog, and the page does not seem appropriate for a Zen garden (it is a Mexican fountain and a cross), so I thought, with some large boulders, tall bracken (ferns like Dame), Santolina and sage. Santolina specially to resemble the color of gravel and sage, because I love the smell and purple flowers, are like the cherry blossom in Japan. Do you have other recommendations? Thank you for the advice.

Why not a small waterfall? Exactly the kind most of the bubbles in a small pond. I would like to add some koi, but dogs + fish = bloody chaos.
I think it would be really interesting to be able to add a few tea plants. Turn them into a corner, surrounded by rocks. How cool, drink, access to your own tea!
Perhaps some Japanese Solar Lamp Type: http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i64/Le ...
