Purpose Trawler Mast What Is The Purpose Of The Mast That Is Located On Most Trawler Power Boats?

What is the purpose of the mast that is located on most trawler power boats? - purpose trawler mast

"Most of the drag-style boats have a mast on the stern. What is the pole? Is it to introduce a kind of veil, or is intended to support any type of fishing gear or on-line network?" I'm over past and current uses for this kind of curious about the mast.

The main pourpose used to carry a small sail to keep a boat in the wind, said that while he was at a standstill. So many other applications have been added over the years, the continued, need it more sailing.

Well, I would not gut the boat without the mast, but there is also a practical reason: the boom, which is used to start again and to support the boat. Consider the following example:

It has many functions. It is as if Derek or a crane used to lift heavy objects, boats, etc.
Furthermore, it is used with AA increased motor sailing.
A candle is used to help roll the boat into the swell.
In order to keep the bow into the wind in heavy weather and / or anchor.
Probably more features that do not know.

This is a good place to mount the radar, the lights of the light distribution of the upper deck and anchor lights and other things as a weather station. A generally pen to lift boats, etc. Some are also manipulated in order to stabilize a candle in order to reduce body roll and bound, but they usually do not work very well. You can also use as a platform to gain power at home, but this is usually not very effective due to the size of the mast and rigging vs. vehicle size. Another application is a small candle to the "hunt" back and forth, anchored one end set.
